About Me
JOHN LABOTS, CGD
It would seem that I was born a graphic designer
From early colouring books to school reports, I have always been interested in placing images and words on the page. Now, with more than 30 years of experience in the business of graphic design, a deep passion still remains for this art form.
Graphic design is about more than just making things look good. It is also about the "art" of organization. My success as a designer lies in keeping a close eye on the details.

A return to the tactile
With a focus on graphic design for many years using the computer as the primary tool, I found myself wanting to return to the tactile hands-on approach for creating art. Working in mostly acrylics, I have rediscovered the wonderful pleasure of “getting my hands dirty”.
Painting has given me a heightened awareness and appreciation for the nuance of colour. It has changed the way I see the world around me.
